What does Equine-Assisted & Systemic Coaching mean?
Personal coaching helps individuals better understand themselves and take steps toward growth. Systemic coaching considers not only the individual but also their relationships, roles, and inner dynamics.
Equine-assisted coaching takes this further by leveraging horses’ authentic responses to presence. They reflect whether what we say aligns with what we feel, bridging subconscious and conscious awareness. This reflective effect is scientifically proven by the University of Heidelberg.
Horses respond to energy, are highly sensitive, and attentive, making them ideal companions for delving deep into personal development and unlocking potential. As co-coaches, they help individuals recognize truths and work through them, making significant strides in personal growth. However, it’s important to note that this is not therapy or a substitute for it! It can, however, complement a therapeutic process.
What’s been on your mind lately?
Do you have a specific goal, problem, or recurring issue that you’d like to view from an entirely new perspective—perhaps in ways you never thought possible?
Sometimes, the solution isn’t as abstract as we think… We operate 95% of the time from our subconscious. Let’s bring to light what’s truly occupying your mind and discover how transformative this process can be.
How My Coaching Works
Initial Call: We’ll discuss what’s on your mind and set up an appointment.
Meeting Location: Together, we decide on a suitable location. Since we’ll be outdoors, please dress for the weather and wear sturdy shoes for your safety.
Session Duration: Plan for 1–2 uninterrupted hours. The length of the coaching process can vary depending on the topic.
On the day of the session, we’ll first revisit the current state of the issue during a brief discussion at the stables. Then we’ll move to the paddock, where I will guide you with questions and exercises.
Sometimes, the energy of a specific horse will immediately resonate with you—or the horses themselves will sense a connection and voluntarily engage.
Post-Session Reflection: At the end of the session, we’ll summarize the insights and create strategies to integrate them into your daily life. To ensure continued support, I’ll follow up with a short phone session approximately 14 days later.
Depending on the complexity of the issue, some topics may require several sessions, while others can be resolved in a single coaching session.
Where the Magic Happens
Coaching in Sallenbusch
Located at Nicole Barth’s stunning full-blood Arabian breeding and boarding stables, this is my main hub and power spot for coaching. Here, amidst the herd, profoundly moving and magical interactions take place. If the herd feels overwhelming, it’s also possible to interact with two selected horses in a spacious arena. The stable is located in Sallenbusch, near Weingarten (Baden), just below the Backhaus restaurant.
Coaching in Siedental
Another idyllic location in Weingarten, nestled further into the countryside, is the Siedental area. This site includes Alexandra Lohr’s academy, where her horses are accustomed to leadership training and team-building exercises. Here, too, you can work with the entire four-horse herd in the paddock or individually in the arena. (Please note: Costs at this location may vary due to specific conditions.)
Coaching at Your Stable
If you own horses or have written permission from the owner of a care horse or lease horse, I can travel to your location. Almost any horse can facilitate the process—except traumatized or ill horses. The only requirement is a secure, enclosed space where we can work undisturbed. (Additional fees may apply depending on distance.)
Coaching Without Horses
While I highly recommend experiencing at least one horse-assisted coaching session to uncover issues quickly and effectively, coaching without horses is also possible. These sessions can take place in nature (e.g., on a meadow or a walk). Soon, I’ll also offer a private practice room as a safe setting for sessions, and online coaching is available as well.
Coaching ohne Pferde
Coaching Retreat in Portugal
“Lagarta que não sai do casulo, não vira borboleta” means: “A caterpillar that doesn’t leave the cocoon will never become a butterfly.” Change is essential to fully realize your potential.
A retreat is being planned for the upcoming summer holidays, combining coaching with yoga and meditation. Two beautiful locations in Portugal’s Alentejo region—Portalegre and Ourique—will soon be available for booking.
